The Wise Woman's Tarot Workshop

Come learn all about the magic and mystery of the Wise Woman's Tarot. We will explore and deepen our knowledge of Tarot Divination as well as a global view of Matriarchal Culture. Learn how to let these amazing cards literally speak to you. Decks will be available for purchase and signing but not essential for the workshop. Flash will also show you a new and unique way to add stone healing to your Tarot Readings!

Animal Communication

Learn to communicate on a deep and healing level with your animal friends. Get helpful tips on care, feeding and many useful alternative remedies. Be a better friend to your pets! Topics include:

Kat Whitestar

Born in North Africa in Kenitra, Morocco, Kat White Star has never strayed far from her heart connection with the Mother Land of Civilization: Africa. "It was something in the water, it was something in the air, there was music in my soul, that Africa birthed there." As a performer, Kat White Star presents a healing musical journey that engages the heart, radiates warmth and wraps the listener in soothing melodies sourced from sacred prayers. As a vocalist she mines the rich a capella traditions of American gospel and ancient world melodies in the style of Sweet Honey in the Rock and Ladysmith Black Mambazo

Omi Aladora Ajamu

Omi Aladora Ajamu is a woman of great magic, music and power. She is a Yoruba Priest of Yemanja and founding mother of the African Connection an African Cultural performance group. She worked in the early days with Martin Luther King and was in the Broadway production of Hair. In addition she is a gifted Psychic and divines with the African Shells. She will be offering readings here at her booth.Omi is also part of the Blues Sisters as well as her own jazz band The Omi Aladora Ajamu Trio.

Aurora Whitebird

Aurora Whitebird is an elder High Priestess of British Traditional witchcraft, an ordained Priestess of Isis in Temple of ISIS, FOI, and is a shamanic practitioner trained by several traditional indigenous elders for over 20 yrs. She provides shamanic healing ritual, energy work, past life integration, and works to bring balance to the individual and the planet. She is Reiki master/teacher, ceremonial healer and life coach, professional intuitive for over 30 years

Elemental Alchemy

A study of elemental work incorporating wiccan and shamanic paths working with air, fire , water, and earth and understanding their importance in our lives.You will learn to be balanced in the center of your own personal circle of life.

The Art Of Scrying

We will use various methods of inner vision to gain knowledge and understanding, as well as divination to forsee events. Bring mirror, bowl for water, crystal ball, or any other gazing tool you want to utilize. Some will be provided. And I prefer you dont have a full belly. Or be starving at time of workshop.

Carol Sweeney

Carol Sweeney's adopted Seneca Name is Song Dancer and she is a traveling Wolf Clan teacher from the Flaming Feathers Lodge in Friendship, Texas. Honored as a peace Elder at Wolfsong,Carol shares the Teachings of the Peacemakers and guides others in the making of their own Rainbow Path. Carol is also a holistic nurse, massage therapist,aromatherapist,teacher of healing Water Treatments. She has ritually CO-created Hummingbird Medicines on the Rainbow Path, opulent aromatherapy blends for vibrational healing.

Healing With Sacred Oils

Carol Sweeney will present the individual single notes [eg,rose,cedar,etc] and many blends [e.g., Three Wise Women] in the "Queen's Apothecary" from Earth Angel Oils for all to PLAY with,experiment,and create. She will show you how to make your own private sacred blend. You will leave with a bottle of your creation.

Cathlee Mozinski

Cathlee Mozinski's Lakota name is Butterfly Circle Woman. She is a Lakota Sundancer of 12 years. She was adopted by the Creek Indians as part of the Council of Elders and Snake Clan Mother. Cat is a bodyworker of some 12 years and taught Massage Therapy in St. Augustine for 2 years. She was the founder and editor of Woman to Woman News and listed in who's who among Writers, Editors, and Poets. Catlee's teachers include a Seneca Medicine Woman,Mayann Shamaness,Cherokee Shaman, Creek Medicine Man,Lakota ceremonies, Spirits and her visions. Workshop

Discovering Your Animal Spirit Allies

This experiential workshop provides a shamanic point of view into your animal allies. Rapid drumming and/or rattling shifts the consciousness from ordinary reality to nonordinary reality, enabling you to journey to other realms. You will then dance your animals into this realm of consciousness. Your allies enjoy your letting them experience this realm by dancing them.Dance with Joy!

The Womb Of The Five Healing CedarTrees

Native American Healing [happening through out the weekend] Through Native American Spirituality and ancient healing techniques you will experience the release of negative influences that may cause distress or disease.

You will be filled with positive energies of healing, love and joy. Experience all this in the Womb of the Five Healing Cedar Trees. Carol Sweeney - Great grandmother and doula for labor and birthing will be available for private sessions. She will be offering Native American bodywork within the Star Medicine Circle using hot stones by the fire.

Your healing session is sent by Spirit and is "personalized " for your needs. Cat and Carol will be maintaining this healing space and other healers are invited to share their energies too as time and space permits.

Marina Alzugaray

Midwife Marina Alzugaray has been involved in women's health and community based midwifery since the early 70's. She is experienced with holistic health care, and home birth, birth center and hospital services. She is an international speaker, known as a pioneer of Waterbirths, and developer of American AquaNatal, a prenatal water exercise and educational program.

Marina has a Bachelor in Health Science from Antioch University Santa Barbara, California, and a Master's of Science in Nursing; Midwifery Leadership from the University of California, San Francisco, UCSF. Her research includes home births outcomes, water birth, human dolphin interaction, women's cycles, and the 'Birth Dance' second stage position and related outcomes for which she was given a UCSF Chancellor's award in 1994.

Moondance

In Celebration of Woman's cycles and life stages. We will gather on Friday night to honor the phases of the woman's menstrual cycle by making a sacred circle of colors and textures that reflects our female changes and by dancing, speaking and crating a magical space that beholds the fullness of who we are. Each woman will be honored for where she is and who she is, and her gifts as woman celebrated. Come prepared to be who you are, express the wisdom within and mobilize the energies to be fully you in your womaness. Healing, inspiring and renewing our connection to each other, our women lines, our MAGICAL selves and our connections through our wombs and blood.

Please bring your musical instruments and sacred objects for the cocreation of a sacred circle in honor of our female body and spirit.

The Red Tent

In the spirit of the sacred feminine and our connection to the our mother Earth and our sister Moon we will have a 'RED TENT' available to all women during the camp. This is a sacred woman space, a place for women on their moon. Facilitated by Marina Alzugaray midwife healer. Bring your rattle, canddles, journal, pillows and your blood. Women who are not mensing are very welcome as well as women who would like to learn how to recreate the tent in their own communities.

Nitya and Gita

Nitya and Gita come to Gainesville from New York City, by way of Pennsylvania and Pinellas county Florida. They met while working at a New York State Department of Labor/New York City Department of Social Services office, where they put in twenty some odd years of toil and labor. They escaped to Pennsylvania where they were mountain wimmin for 6 years, then came to Florida where they did volunteer wild bird rescue for 13 years until moving to the McIntosh area in June of 2006.

Nitya and Gita began doing Hatha Yoga at the Integral Yoga Institute in New York City in the middle and late 70's, which led to a deepening spiritual practice, which ultimately led to their taking the teacher training course at the Integral Yoga Institute. They both taught at IYI in New York City for several years, until moving to the Bushkill Mountain are in northeastern Pennsylvania where they taught at the Rajarajeshwari Peetham in Reeders, Pennsylvania. They relocated to Pinellas County and had the opportunity to teach Hatha Yoga in St. Petersburg at several venues. They have been teaching in the McIntosh area since July 2006. Gita is our chanting leader and brings a beautiful voice quality to the chanting of the sacred prayers and slokas.

Hatha Yoga

The Hatha Yoga class consists of chanting, asanas, deep relaxation and pranayama (breathing practices). The class lasts for approximately one and a half hours.

Lylly Rodriguez

Lylly Rodriguez is a co-owner of Wild Iris Books in Gainesville, Florida. She finished her Reiki Master Teacher in the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition in July 2006 after 2 years of study with Rev. Sunemaura O'Brien. Lylly is a Certified Reflexologist and is currently attending the Florida School of Massage to become a Licensed Massage Therapist so she can practice in the State of Florida.

Non Traditional Reiki

Reiki Master Teacher Lylly Rodriguez will be offering a 1 hour workshop on Non-Traditional Reiki followed by a 15 minute Energy Healing guided meditation.

Omito

Omitowade Salewa Ajamu is a lifetime priestess of Yemoja, raised in the Aftican ancestral spirutual tradition of the Yoruba. Along with the ordinary demands for drumming and chanting which are part of her priesthood Omito has especially developed her skill as an African dancer and fine arts painter, to further reveal the depth of her cultural heritage. Pieces by her are hanging in several institutions from South Florida to South Carolina. She has long given workshops in these arts all over the US and Jamaica. When not teaching or doing spiritual work, Omito spends time with her 4-year-old daughter who teachers her refinements of dance guided by a spirit source beyond this world.

African Dance

Dancing us into awareness, Omito will illustrate in movement some of the differences between secular African dance and dances done specifically to honor each of three goddesses or "orisha" of the Yoruba tradition: Oya, Yemoja and Osun. She will then demostrate traditional movements and costumes and share with us the symbolic meaning involved in these steps, gestures and African outfits. At the end she will model and make available a few traditional dance head wraps (gele) and hip wraps (lapa) for those who might like to buy a set.

Sarah Usher

Sarah Usher, LMT, MA 36244, graduated from Florida School of Massage (FSM), in 1994. She returned to FSM, became certified in Reflexology, and obtained her Massage license in 2002. Now, Sarah's personal and professional touch in bodywork is the way she assist others in their healing. She also became a licensed nail tech to compliment her Reflexology practice and offer a new avenue for foot care. Sarah is an active student of a positional release form of therapy and incorporates that into her practice for clients in severe discomfort due to chronic holding patterns.

Sacred Touch

Sarah will use different modalities of Touch that she has worked with as a Massage Therapist, which offer ways to access your own healing powers. This workshop will integrate what is needed to increase the Potency of Touch and heighten our awareness in the sacred nature of Touching and Being Touched.

Woody Blue

For the past 20 years, Woody has facilitated workshops, led discussion groups, and given lectures on such topics as creativity, vision and perception, nonviolence, nutrition, alternative healing, planetary thinking, and various health topics. "Mixing scientific thinking with abstract, non-linear thinking feeds my curiosity and pushes me to challenge my belief systems. The more creatively I think, the more I push 'reality's' boundaries and vice versa."

"For me, life is a labyrinth of ideas and experiences, which resides in the physical world. The joy and passion for life dwells in the sense of adventure one achieves in walking this path."

Woody presently lives in Gainesville, Florida. She is a licensed massage therapist, a certified holistic health counselor, a lifelong peace activist, writer, and a flamboyant fiber artist.

Each of us brings our unique understanding of the world based on our personal experiences and perceptions. By digging through the superficial layers of the thinking process, we can widen our perceptions, tap into creative energies, and enter the world of imagination.

Anna Alvarez

Anna Lee Alvarez is a practitioner of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She is also the founder of the WeMoon Spirit, a women€™s center in Tallahassee, Florida. Her interest is in teaching people practical methods for healing themselves

Trauma Release Exercises

Trauma Release Exercises is a method developed by David Bercelli, a Bioenergetic practitioner, through many years of working with people in war torn countries in the Middle East and Africa. It is a fascinating method of allowing one€™s body to release internalized trauma. Maria Minno

Maria Minno, LMT, Reiki, Quantum TouchPhoenix Healing Massage at the Center for Balance, 1705 NW 6th Street in GainesvilleMaria Minno has spent nearly a half-century working for the environment, as an environmentalist, as a biologist, as an ecological consultant, and more recently, in environmental health as a healer. Because Maria has suffered from a lifetime of environmental illness, she has first-hand experience with the health and environmental challenges that today’s children face. And because of the illness, much of her work has been done as a volunteer. Maria is constantly working to educate herself and others about how to take care of ourselves, our families, and our environment. She has earned a BA in Environmental Biology (UCSB), a MS in Botany (UF), and a Florida license and national certification in massage therapy (MA#42167). She is presently studying nutritional therapy with the Nutritional Therapy Association http://www.nutritionaltherapy.com

Quintina Crawford is a twenty seven year old jazz singer living in the Gainesville Area for the past five years.She has performed for many events like:The Fifth Ave Arts Fest, Lesbian VarietyShow, Hairball, 2nd annual Jazz showcase, Vagina Monolouges, Black Voices ( a play at the Acrosstown Theater ),Wild Iris Book Store, and many venues acoss the state.Quintina started a band called Cymatic Jam in 2005 that was a great experince and continues to be a jazz soloist singing and performing in various local bands.

Third Eye Spoken

Jungle Friends

Born To Be Wild Video

Kari Bagnall, founder of Junglefriends, will present our 'Born to be Wild' PowerPoint Presentation where we bring awareness to the problem of the ever-exploding trade in wild and exotic animals and make clear that wild animals should be free to live in the wild with their natural families. Ethics are complete, profound, and alive only when addressed to all living beings. Only then are we in spiritual connection with the world. Any philosophy not respecting this, not based on the indefinite totality of life, is bound to disappear.
